ACL Meeting Friday, November 13, 2020: Just a quick reminder for our Bay Area members! Please join us for our ACL Meeting on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, from 10am-Noon over Zoom. We will have our usual Book Reviewing and a report from the Distinguished Books committee. For the Professional Development portion of the meeting, Alia Jones will talk about Native Represention and Collection Development. Alia Jones is a Sr. Library Services Assistant at the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library. She recently completed service on the 2020 Caldecott Awards Committee and will join the Coretta Scott King Awards Jury in 2021. She has been a member of ALSC for three years and her work, in and out of the library, focuses on diverse books for children, equity, decolonization and boosting #ownvoices narratives.
